A lot of people are excited to witness the rare celestial event on April 8th…The total Solar Eclipse. Some of us, feel something coming, and while we acknowledge that whatever it is may not present itself on the actual day of the eclipse, for those of us feeling into frequency? This definitely feels like it is more significant than just a normal eclipse. Is it the beginning of something sinister? Is the world as we know it reaching its end? Today we will look at this and see if we can make some sense of this feeling in the pit of our stomachs…warning us to pay attention with all three of our eyes wide open…
First we are going to take a look at The Science of a Total Solar Eclipse, because I do believe that the rarity of the astrological events happening in April is worth pointing out.
So, A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely covers the sun from our vantage point here on Earth. This happens because the sun, moon, and Earth align perfectly, casting a shadow on a narrow band of our planet. The upcoming eclipse will be visible across parts of the United States, known as the path of totality. The path of totality, the narrow band where the moon completely covers the sun during a total solar eclipse, is meticulously calculated by astronomers. It is determined by the alignment of the sun, moon, and Earth. The moon’s shadow, cast onto Earth’s surface, traces a specific track, lasting only a few minutes at any given location.
Now here is where many of us ponder some burning questions, such as Could this path somehow interact with fault lines, triggering geological activity? Is there symbolism in the cities it will pass through…or even a message coming from God himself?
The eclipse itself is a natural phenomenon, but our perception of it is subjective. Perhaps the unease some feel is a reflection of our own anxieties about the world, a heightened awareness due to the dramatic nature of the event. Or, maybe it’s a call to introspection, a nudge to consider the cycles of change that permeate life.
